I have been admitted to the GWU Master's Program!

Yessir, you heard correctly! I just received my acceptance letter from George Washington University saying I'm officially "in" last night!

I'm going for my Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, so it will be tough but nothing I can't handle.

I'm looking forward to sharpening up my skills (two years now since I have attended college, a lot of that book-learning has gone to waste so I could use the refresher!) and as long as I get B's or higher my tuition (and books, sweet!

) will be fully covered by work!

Hello ever-higher learning, goodbye free time for the next 3 years!

Apparently GWU is a big deal down here to companies, so I guess getting my B.S. at PSU and now soon my MS at GWU will help me out a good deal!

Kidding. I had a buddy go to GWU (and ironically, at my last job a friend of mine there accounted for them, and here the woman two cubicles over does their performance analytics - I can't escape them.

), and visited him down there a few times. It's a great school, in a really cool city. Congrats.

Just giving a bumpity bump for this puppy! I got my final grade for the first Systems Engineering course of my Master Degree... a B+!

It was a ....ing ROUGH course too... that final was a killer but I did decent enough to keep the B+!

I would have loved to have scored an A- or A, but a B+ is good enough to start off with!

The best part of this news is that I get to KEEP the Engl Invader I just bought!!!

If I didn't get a B or higher the course would not be paid for by the corporation so I'm REALLY happy about doing well in the first class as I can definitely think of things I'd rather spend $2K+ on!

My uncle got his MBA from GWU and the FBI paid for it all, too. Great school to cap your schooling off at (unless you plan on getting your doctorate).
