Since police brutality is all the rage among pigs, and AAL had a run in with this kind of occurance, I figured I'd share this app for android based systems. This software is making it's way through Apple's software acceptance process to get into their store.

It's a shame that just a few bad apples can make a portion of society so bent against all of those of a certain profession.

Though, I am in support of the spirit of this app and those like it.

I have no shame in saying that if you're a cop, I hate your guts. Why? Try being a kid and having a "dirty harry" type point a gun right in your face and being berated for hours on end about what pieces of shit my family are. I will never trust a cop again for as long as I live.

I this app. Finally people will have some kind of recourse against the police when (not if) they do this kind of crap.

Fair enough, but come visit the Antelope Valley and you'll see a very corrupt police force. One that won't do shit to find your stolen car, but if you have a band rehearsing 5-6 show up in force, start illegally asking for IDs and just bully you in general. Or how about handcuffing you and putting you in the back of a cruiser for 2 hours with no explanation why, just because they don't like your family.

I don't like what some of my family does, but there's no need to punish me for that shit because I don't live that kind of lifestyle. Sry, but I've yet to meet a cop that I actually liked. I'm sure there are a few good ones out there, but the majority of what I've met is a bunch of criminals with badges and severe ego complexes.

Some cops are dicks yes, but others (especially little hick-town cops) are just generally nice guys who want a generally relaxed job in which they can ride around in the car most of the night and daydream.
We have a local cop who the city administration isn't too happy with because he absolutely refuses to go out and create tickets/revenue for the city.
Unless you are out trying to cause trouble, he much prefers to just nod his head and wave. The town folk even call him waving Bob. If there is trouble he does his job, but he doesn't go around and create reasons to ticket people.
He's actually in the next town over from me (6miles).

My home town cops (there's only 3 of them lol) are all like "wavin bob", but that is actually the long held attitude of this police "force lol".
Bob's town is quite the opposite (which is the town I grew up in). They are very proactive in finding reasons to ticket and arrest people, which makes Bob a misfit among them. They have even taken measures lately to build a case to fire the guy, like requiring him to go through retraining programs in order for him to learn how to spot potential and covert offenders (aka harrass the shit out of people, especially teenagers, longhairs, guys who are walking through town at night. (worthless bastards can't afford a car must be out causing trouble huh)

There are plenty of cops who are not corrupt, but everyone who has witnessed corruption of those who are supposed to protect you and not assault you is going to have a bad taste in their mouth. Anyone who abuses their "powers". You only have power if the people let you, and I will leave it at that, because I may get banned for the rest of what I want to say for someone feeling it's condoning illegal activity when it surely isn't.

You just described, in almost exact detail, the situation in my hometown and the town next to it. (10 miles) Except there was no "Waving Bob."
It's crazy how in one little town, the whole police force are total dicks with a serious reputation for corruption, and the other town's police farce (also 3 officers) are the most laid back and sincere ............s.

I've had to deal with both in the areas surrounding my home town. Some cops are good, some just want to flaunt their dicks around. I'm okay with them as long as they do their jobs to protect and serve, not beat the shit out of and harrass.

My short little time in the military so far has helped me to realize that its not cops or soldiers who are fundamentally corrupt, its people who are given guns. We need a quiet camera to monitor anyone who is allowed to carry a firearm, cause those are the culprits.

Yup. Its like that "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" story. (No pun intended with pig...).

I've seen people who go from relatively normal, to startlingly power crazy the second they're given a license to carry. It suddenly becomes their go to thing, and even when they're not carrying they become a good deal more arrogant. Granted, that's not ALWAYS the case, but I've seen a few cases that went about like that.

Out of curiosity; If you get pulled over/have an encounter with a police offer, do you act like an asshole just because you hate their guts even though the officer in person might be super nice?

In case you didn't notice, I didn't get on to him about it, all I did was post a google search link to hint towards it. My intention was to display that I didn't expect him to notice, so I was putting that out after the fact. It may not be how you'd prefer I express my message, but not everyone gets the same information from the same message.

Nope. I give them respect until they give me a reason not to. Which is about 80% of the time. I call them sir/ma'am and I put up with the situation until I can get out of it ASAP. Then I get the .... outta there ASAP.

That said, my attitude is that I don't care if you have badge or not; you start shit-talking me and putting me down, I will dish that attitude right back at you. If they happen to be courteous and respectful, I give that same attitude right back.

Never ran into horrible cops before, seen about it on the news and all that though. Sure I think i've been pulled over for stupid reasons a time or two but no one is perfect.

I don't hate cops, I hate corrupt cops . I love cops who do their job correctly.

I think most of the cops that work around where I live are fairly professional so I cant complain.
