Rhacodactylus Gecko Collection and NGD!

Here is my whole rhacodactylus collection! Rhacodactylus is a group of geckos from the island of New Caledonia, and my collection consists of R. Ciliatus aka Crested Gecko and R. Leachianus aka Giant Gecko!

This is my newest gecko, it's a haloween super harley named Koa:

Figo, my orange/yellow brindle:

Cyrus, my cream dalmation, the stud of my collection (currently only male):

Biff, my yellow/poss reverse pinstripe, my has she grown!:

Clutz, my harley 90% pinstripe, still lives up to her name!:

And Giles, my Isle E x Moro Leachianus!

Giles is a little baby only weighing in at 40 grams now, but in about 3-4 more years he will be about 1-1.5 ft. long and weigh close to 300-400 grams!

I've put Figo and Cyrus together, and for Figo being a first-timer laid two perfectly good eggs! She is gravid again and should be laying the end of the month, I'm so excited to see my first hatchlings at the end of summer, and if anyone would like a little gecko baby, PM me and we'll discuss

They are beautiful. I've always wanted and loved geckos.
I'm sure you get this a lot, but are they friendly?

It must not be cheap to get them and the required licence to own them.

Gecko's are amazingly cute, and I am incredibly Jealous of your Pets!

@ AcousticMinja, yes they are very friendly

to be more precise, they don't mind being handled. Reptiles don't have as well developed brain as mammals, with the only things on a reptile's mind is food and sex to be blunt, but some reptiles have an extent of toleration of being handled, and all rhacodactylus species have a pretty high tolerance of it.

@ Loxodrome, it's not cheap to buy them considering the kinds I get, but it cost the same money to raise a $20 dollar gecko and a $200 gecko, so you see where I'm going with this? And also as of now, there is no license required to own these animals, I'm in Texas, not Florida

I can see why you would think a license is required though since I see you live down under!

They eat a combination of crickets 1-2 times a week with a powder-water mixture called Repashy Crested Gecko Diet aka CGD 3 times a week. The leachianus just eats CGD because he isn't all that interested in live food.

Crested Geckos are so easy to take care of, they can eat CGD all their lives and the food is easy to store and prepare (and it smells good), they only require room temperature so there's no need for heat lamps, and they can be housed in 20 qt rubbermaid or sterilite tubs. They are THAT easy.

Congrats on the family! I have a pet leopard gecko, so I how much fun these can be. I may be interested in one of those babies actually, but I dont know for sure. Anyway, congrats on the awesome lizards!

Guambomb: that does indeed look incredibly cool, but if I saw that in the same room as me I would turn into a sniveling little girl and shit an incomprehensible amount of bricks.

Definitely awesome when you see blue animals in nature though, didn't even know tarantulas can be drastically different colors.

Yeah, it is incredible when animals can get to have such vibrant colors, and with that species, the males are the ones cobalt blue, hence the name cobalt blue tarantula, while the females are a dull brown.

And about the little girl shit, I'm like that way with huge ass frogs and toads. I'm cool with little tiny frogs but huge ass frogs DA .... DATT. I would actually like to have a poison dart frog aquarium, it would be like fish aquarium just not completely full of water and arguably much cooler

Obviously not old enough yet! Maybe cricket townspeople they can do that, they have a voracious cricket appetite and when their in "the zone" they'll strike at anything that moves. They're just like snakes but cuter

My friend has a tokay, and that are absolutely beautiful geckos, but there temperament is something that should be considered very carefully! Fierce little things!
