RIP Carol Shelby
We've lost a true legend in the world of motorsports. Carol Shelby gave birth to countless ideas. His work with Ford has spawned generations of Mustangs exponentially more bad ass than the normal ones. He is responsible for the greatest car in the world (imo), the Dodge Viper. Millions of young folk have dreamed about owning something with his name on it. He was synonymous with quality and sheer brutality and will truly be missed.

RIP Carroll Shelby, I have spent so much time just staring at his work, but at 89 it doesn't come as too much a surprise.

Planning on cooking up a batch of Mr. Shelby's chili this weekend in his honor. (Seriously, not only did he help design some great cars but he has a kickass chili recipe.)
The cobra has always been a dream car of mine though, a proper British sportscar bastardized American-style with a bigger engine. His legacy lives on in the wet dreams of motoring enthusiasts everywhere. |
