Embarrassingly dim girl fails at math

I just saw this pop up on the little "news" part of Yahoo. This wife can't figure out how long it takes to travel 80 miles at 80 miles per hour. And now she's backpedaling saying she was studying for finals the night before. Hope those weren't math finals!

tl;dwatch - here's some highlights: "I don't know. Because if I run the mile in like 9 minutes, then, I mean but that's when I'm out of shape," she says in the video. "When I'm really in shape it's like 7 minutes … and that takes me a mile. And we're going 80 miles. And I'm running 10 mph, if that."
Using her own running speed as a basis, and taking into account the tire speed, weight of the car, and whether it's a stick or an automatic, she uses roundabout logic to come up with an educated guess.
"It's got to take like 58 minutes or something," she says, not too far off from the correct answer of 60 minutes.
"Think about 80 miles per hour," her husband says, teasing her as he keeps making faces to the camera. "So how long does it take me to go 80 miles if I'm going 80 miles per hour."
"You are driving faster than a minute a mile," she says to him. "I would whack 80 in half and that's 40."

Reminds me of the whole Jessica Simpson chicken in the sea thing.
For those not familar, she thought it was chicken in the sea and when Nick attempted to explain that it was chicken of the sea she was completely clueless to the analogy.

Who cares though with tits like that!!!

I think the real sad thing about this video is that you find people who are this ....ing stupid on an everyday basis. Somebody mentioned the movie idiocracy in here, and sadly it seems like that is where we are heading (obviously not as bad). I can't help but be disgusted by peoples stupidity on a normal basis. I never used to think of myself as a smart person, but compared to a lot of people these days, I am a ....ing genius.

Just FYI Jessica is a bloated cow now. She got pregnant and like many women came up with the logic that a soon to be 6-10lbs baby justifies doubling your food intake and thus weight. (it doesn't you don't have to eat much extra when pregnant)
