So... What would be the point of going to Amsterdam now? We can also illegally grow all the strains you could potentially buy there. Seems like a plane ticket only complicates the financial side of things.

Two things about the health/lung issues:
1. You can vaporize or eat the pot instead of smoking it, neither is likely to be harmful
2. I feel like all of that goes out the window when you are getting the commercial pot that's grown with lots of fertilizers and/or pesticides... sometimes you just don't know how stuff was grown and I doubt they've done studies using THAT kind of pot. That's actually one reason why I cut down a lot... I'd rather just smoke once in a while when I can find some homegrown that I know is clean than blaze on god knows what. And the same goes for homemade bongs... think before you toke... smoking out of plastic, PVC, copper, using glue to seal them, etc., you really don't know what you're getting.

For those who can't imagine another reason to go to Amsterdam than drugs:

What the Dutch are looking for is getting rid of people who can't imagine any reason to go there besides drugs. It's a win-win situation: people will go elsewhere for the one thing they find important in tourism, and the Dutch won't have to deal with those people.

I was talking about a documentary that started out to be anti-drug. I'm pointing out the fallacy of a "scientific" study that national policy and propaganda has been based around. And I referenced a study performed by a major university.

Never once did I say do drugs, or about how to grow/make, sell or ingest drugs. So where is the "straight drug talk"? I'm thinking who ever rep'ed me really should start getting high because apparently not doing drugs has made you a moron who can't read (or just can't handle the real Truth). we both know that is impossible, not necessarily because someone can't set aside their personal views and conduct the research, but because we can't know the mind of the person who did the research in most cases.

That being said, I can share a link to a copy of the 1972 study commissioned by Nixon (a big anti-drug supporter) that, well speaks for itself if actually read through.

Also of interesting read are the 1944 La Guardia Commitee report and the 1998 House of Lords Report on Marijuana.
