R.I.P. Max

Today was a sad day as after years off battling against kidney faliure and water on the lung my beloved dog Max finally passed. He was a lovely Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a black and brindle coat, he used to love to wrestle and rough and tumble but became so gentle in his old age. He did well in that when he was first diagnosed with kidney faliure they gave him 6 months and no more, its now 3 and a half years down the line from then, so he was a fighter till the very end. I dont want people to get the wrong impression here thinking that he was aggressive, he was so good with people and especially good with children.

It may seem a bit small to some people for a thread but please understand this dog was family to me.

R.I.P Max, im really gonna miss you buddy.

You'll be forever missed
Your impression forever felt
I could never thank you enough
for the untold happiness you dealt
but in this, our family
the bond is stronger
than any world told.

thanks for listening

I feel your pain man I lost my first Pitbull pup to Addison's disease and kidney problems. I sobbed hysterically for two or three days.

At least now you can have solace knowing he's no longer in pain.

I know what you mean. My dog had surgery a couple of years back, and I found myself just as nervous during the surgery, as if it was an "actual" family member.

Dogs rock. And they have a way of getting to you. Just remember he isnt suffering from a disease anymore.

Is this... guitar?

Dude, I get choked up when my fish die... although, I've owned fish bigger than some dogs.

I feel your pain, man. When I had to put my cat (Bernie), my life ended. Getting him was my earliest memory.

Terrible. He obviously had a great life and somebody that cared about him, though.

I lost my first dog about two years ago (cancer). We grew up together and he was somekind of brother to me. Then, one year later we got this awesome puppy. One day at university I get a phonecall. The little fellow ran away (for the first time in his life) and got hit by a car. His lungs collapsed and he died at the age of 10 months
So I had to dig two graves in two years.
I know how you feel dude
Dogs are awesome
R.I.P. Max!

I lost a Rottweiler when I was a kid, she got out of the house and got hit by a car, the ....ers didn't even stop for her, had to put her down cause the damage was too severe. I also just recently lost my Border Collie, she just disappeared one day and haven't seen her since.

I feel your pain man I'm choking up a little just remembering those two dogs that meant the world to me.
