SSO Meetup in Vancouver?

Anyone down? I know a few people that would be. We'd probably meet downtown and just terrorize stores and then hit up Wings on Granville for some hella spicy chicken wings

So far I think myself, joey, ayman, Dev, and Chris would be down. Just need to find a date that works for everyone

If I was visiting my friend in Burnaby, I'd totally be down. I probably won't visiting her until it warms up though.

Marco and I talked with Donnie and Shannon a while back about doing a Northwest ss.org/mg.org meetup (probably in Seattle as it's more or less midway) that never panned out. If enough guys from the region are down for it, I'll try and organize something with them... though I agree that we should do it when the weather stops being dog-turd, May or June or something. Maybe sync it with a show up there.

Possibly, although again, we'd need a more specific date before I could say for certain. Thankfully my uncle and his family live in Pitt Meadows so I would be okay for accomodations.

I'd love to run around some of the better stores though. Long & McQuade bores me with their incredibly vast selection of Fender and Gibson, but Tom Lee Music is quality, if on the expensive side. When I was in Vancouver in 2008 me and some buddies probably hung around there for 6 hours one day.

Dudes, give me a couple of years. My entire family seems to be making a pilgrimage west. Out of the 9 kids in my dad's family, my dad's the only one left in Montreal. Some of the less adventurous are in Ontario, but the rest are all in BC and Mexico. I reckon I'll pay my cousins in BC a visit within the next couple of years. They keep telling me once I visit, I'll never want to leave. It just happened to my cousin, Cory. He visited family there this past summer, and moved there from Ontario in September

I kind of already had a plan to head out there once I've got my teaching degree anyhow (unless I lose my mind earlier than expected and transfer to UBC), so count me in for future SSO hangouts in Vancity.

About this, I suggest doing it wherever we can have at least 1 good amp. Nobody want 5+ people with nice guitars playing through a 10W MG.

I will also be charging a per minute rental fee for playing my JP.

Just so you guys still know, as long as we can nail down dates early enough, I'm totally down for this. I've got a shit-ton of paid vacation time to use and I haven't been outside the Yukon in 2 years now. This would give me an opportunity to hang out with SS.org peeps, as well as to go to Kelowna for a couple days and visit friends in my old stomping grounds.
