Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook, and Soundclick might eventually be updated, too.

That's worryingly close to reality. Give or take an 8-piece samba band called Sensual Pounding, that was pretty much my band's second gig.

Haha, first time I've seen this and it's both hilarious and depressing.

Band vs Promoter (real story) - YouTube

As someone in a band who also happens to be a promoter (book 3-4 shows a month outside my own band's out of town gigs) THIS is what it's really like.

I've had this happen to me so many ....ing times. No offense to anyone here, but it was because of this crap that I fantasize about promoters being hijacked by terrorists...

Here's some of my playing. Hear it in all it's "trv kvlt" production values...

Wow. Somehow someone really nailed what it is like being in a band and dealing with other bands and promoters. Both videos are so true it hurts.

This is why the music scene in my city was so .... and eventually died off . I'm sure there are exceptions, but my old bands definitely dealt with people like this.

"He doesn't even like Metallica, that's how metal he is." - My friend describing my musical tastes to her friends.

"Aw man you got toilet water on your dick? I'm mad for you." - axxessdenied

"Never done weed, but I've been to a Mastodon concert" - Don Vito

Haha, those shows can still be fun though. I just get wasted at the bar and grudge..../slurr through the set. I crack up every time I make a mistake, it's so childishly spiteful but fun at the same time.

I mean, we're there, might as well play. On the other hand, without payment I'm just a musician, I stop caring about the presentation and just try to have a good time.
