EDIT: And he's raised a hell of a musician. I've watched Forever On The Waves and your weirdly tuned Drop G-ish song, both stuck with me after just one listen

This reminds me so much of me and my Dad. We do so much together musical wise. I'm sorry to hear about your father. I couldn't imagine going through that. I'll be praying for your family.
Spend as much as time you can with him. Maybe you could even write him a song. To show how much he has influenced you in music.

That brought a tear to my eye, and made me think about how much my dad means to me with all the music and stuff.

All i can say is, i've lost loved ones close to my heart too, but you must think of everything positive you and your dad have done together and remember him as the man he was, not what this vicious cancer is doing to him.
