what's goin' on everyone my name's Mike, and this be my first post so I'll make with some introduction action
Real name: already covered.... Playing: 10 years (wow has it been that long?!?!) From: Canada......eh? Website: www.thecerastineorder.com Band: see previous Main Guitar: Schecter C7 Hellraiser or at least will be once DCGL sends me one! I've been wanting a sevenstring since that faithful time I first layed eyes on that Black/Green Universe in Morbid Angel's "God of Emptiness" video. Consequently some of my biggest writing influences/favourite guitarist are also 7 stringers top 4, no order: 1. Trey Azagthoth - Morbid Angel 2. Fredrik Thordendal - Meshuggah 3. Leon Macey - Mithras (you like MA, check these dudes out!) 4. Pat O'Brian - Cannibal Corpse 5. Rob Vigna - Immolation (ya ya no 7 string, but Rob's the Mutha-fukin MAN! ) oh and here's a pic of me live mid hair spin......no 7 yet but there's my super nice Custom shop Jackson Kelly ![]() |

Badass, yet another metal head.Welcome aboard.
We're actually in the process of writing up an email interview to Trey, so you might wanna stop by and submit a question or two to that. +1 to Rob Vigna, too. Immolation is badass. it's a variant of the Hex mod (he tightened up the low end, gave it a little more mid punch and the highs are less "bee-like" if you will. Also some sort of noise reduction something-or-other is going on there). apparently the EQ's have been given a wider range as well, again I'm not sure just relaying what Trace said like 4 years ago and what I've noticed next to the other guitarist setup (similar stuff dual recto unmodded, Jackson Soloist, G-flex)
all in all it makes for a huge punchy sound, tons of low end no flub...it's like a kick to the chest when you palm mute at high volumes. The JJ EL34's and G-flex help in that department too. |
