my name is Tom and I'm a long time reader, but first time poster. I've been playing for about 10 years now and my influences range from Metallica to SRV. I'm a big big fan of thrash metal (new and old) and I love pointy guitars. I'm looking into getting my first 7 string soon hopefully, but time will tell I suppose.

Had a 6 string... it met an unfortunate end though. It managed to fall off of a stage and landed just right so the headstock broke off and so did a bottom fin. I've been pretty much using Vs exclusively now, although I will take the advice on looking into a Xiphos in a 7 string.
