Heya!

I forgot to say hello and introduce myself. I've been here a couple of times before and last time I actually registered, so here it goes.

Am from Arica, a small city in the border between Chile and Peru (think Tijuana). Moved to Denmark for studies (BSc. in Electronics) and then to Oslo a year ago, where I live, work and play.

I've got a Schecter Damien-7 that I once bought in Denmark for a mate in the band who didn't have the money to buy a new guitar, and I was playing the bass back then (u know the song, too many guitarists, too few bass players, and slow guitarists make good bass players . So long story short, I came to Norway and sold the bass to start playing the guitar again, and since I had this 7 stringer, I started using it. Strange feeling at the beginning, but now I just love it, and I can't imagine playing on a 6-strings again, unless other style than metal?

So I play in a melodic/thrash band here in Oslo. Nothing on demo yet (only a year together), but the day something comes, I'll be sure to post it here =).

Am now looking for a new 7-string and am trying to decide between the Schecter Loomis 7 FR, and the IBZ RG1527 ... anyway hehe. Did u see that RG2228 O.O *tempting*, but just a *bit* too much.

I'm soon 33, and I play since I'm like 11 - 12 yrs old. I played classical at start (5 yrs) and folk music, south American "trova" stuff (classic-like things, with singing), then classic rock and I started playing metal in my 20's. Played flamenco a couple of years, but gave up because I bite my nails, so I came back to play metal at 25-26 which is what I do now. I also sing and play south American folk music.

That, and that this forum is just awesome! There's a lot of material and am working on my sweeps now lol. I'm slow at hand :'| ... but intense at soul.

Love,
Selknam.

I have just joined sevenstring.org. I am a multi-string "classical" guitar hobbyist, but I have also started to do some pop/rock arrangements on an 8-string Ibanez RG2228-GK. Real fun! My view is that all guitars, classical, jazz, pop, country, metal, whatever, should have 7 strings as a standard configuration.

my name is Will Thornton. I'm from Virginia, north of richmond. i've been playing guitar for about three years, but only got into it in the past 2. I like sludge metal, doom metal, stoner metal, or anything that has really heavy sound to it. This summer i will be building my first 7-string.

Name is john. I live In Fredericton NB Canada. I am 25 and I like long walks on the beach....I was introduced to the forum by JJ Rodriguez (refer to first comment about walks on the beach) a few months back and I have been trolling them ever since eyeballing all of your guitar porn, pointing at things and trying to explain to the girl why I need it.

My current rig consists of a Gibson sg goth and a SD SH-5 which I will be replacing soon with some blackouts if I dont buy my first seven string before that happens. A Framus Dragon *out of commision right now* w/ cs212 cab and a ts9. Hope to get my first 7 very soon
