I've wanted an eight string ever since I got my first electric. I wish I would have obtained a seven sooner myself.

What kind of music are you playing?

Sort of random industrial metal, but i try to make alot of the nasty noises and such with my guitar as i hate using samples and stuff like that.

Sorry, you'll have to forgive my ignorance, but i don't know a great deal about eight strings, do they have two lower strings?

introductions...

hi

my names leon, i wont go all personal and stuff

i'm, in a 'band', erm... we play kind of hevay metal, but its all arty in places, with guitars subserving keyboards sometimes... maybe getting a better drummer shortly, and maybe a better bassist, whom bitches about using my 4string in drop b to try and break even with teh sevens we're using, lil bitch

but yeah heavy progressive stuff influenced inflames, fear factory, devin townsend, stuff like that, but i think we accidentally wrote a pop song...

anyone got a jackson cow 7 for sale.... as i ordered one from my local shop, it will only take 2-3 months to get here and i kidna need one for college, in september

Welcome! Always good to see a fellow UK'er here.

How do you find the RR7? I've heard mixed reviews about them.

Re - RR7R

Hey there, thanks for the welcome guys.

The RR7R is a pretty sweet guitar for what I do, I do use a RG7321
live as well. The Jackson seems to cut through more, while the
Ibanez seems to have a much darker tone. To be honest I kinda
swap between the two guitars for their different tonalities depending
on what tune were playing.

I did have to change the vol/tone/tone pots on the guitar, and I
have done the same on the RG7321. I basically bought all american
units for them and I aint had a problem since! Both guitars are the dogs
for the kinda stuff I play, very heavy!

The majority of our stuff is in 'Drop A' with the occaisional tune in 'B'

Check the pic below (and excuse the hole in my shirt....LOL)
