Thanks, Drew. Well, it's not just "black." It's like black with lots of tiny tiny little silver sparklies in it, which make it kind of hard to take a picture of it with a flash. Everyone who has seen it has said it's a pretty sweet guitar. And one person I know said they liked it better than the standard US Purple (well, purpley-blue, I believe -- the standard color for the US RG1527)

ESP LTD H-207 in red...which nobody else seems to have, I have yet to see anything but green and black on the internet but whatever...
ESP LTD V-250 (too bad they don't have a 7-string version) ... the reason I bought this was to play in my friend's band and he as a 6.

I want a les-paul shaped 7 stringer too, I just want a guitar shaped that way, haven't seen many of the epis though.

Oh, I also like my action really low, my E is right at 1mm and my B is under 2mm.

Howdy, I'm JJ and I've been playing for around 4 years, which isn't long but I used to play 8 hours a day ( at least I learned something in university). I own an RG7X20, X because it has the neck of a 620 and a body (and unfortunately tremolo) of a 420, and I just recently acquired a Schecter A-7 Elite, the sweet ass neck through one. The RG has 2 707's in it, and the Schecter had the bridge pickup swapped out for a Seymour Duncan as opposed to the Duncan Designed that was in her. I've been visiting the forum for a little bit, but never bothered to post until now. Probably because it's Canadian turkey day, and I really have nothing else to do.

It's a straight-up 7420, then. Ibanez used the same necks for at least the first year of production, and possibly still does.

Good thing it's a great neck profile.

I didn't know that. Most pictures I've seen of 7420's have the stripe in the back of the neck covering the truss rod like a fender. It is stamped 7620 on the neck underneath where it bolts on though, but it has the TRS trem. It is a pretty sweet neck profile.
