Rush is a great band, Canadian eh! Anyway you can post a link in your sig like I do, or start a new thread, like other people do...

aldog1330 is a jewel in the rough
Hey guys, stumbled across this forum when poking around on Harmony Central. This seems to be a great community, thats for sure - small, but friendly, which is more important than anything else.

I currently only have 6 strings - A Gibson Les Paul Custom, a Les Paul Studio, a Peavey Wolfgang Special, and an SG Standard (which is sold I believe), which I play through a Peavey Ultra Plus halfstack. But lately I've been considering picking up another 7 string. I had one probably 6 years ago, but at the time I was young (18, 24 now) and used to think it was cool to have it slung down real low, so it would hurt my wrist to play. Now that my technique has improved and I'm not dumb and naive like I once was, I've reconsidered my actions. I will try and contribute any way I can in the meantime while I'm not in the "in" club.

Thanks

I had a RG7620 orignally, and I see on ebay they are pretty inexpensive, so I might pick one of them up or a RG1527. I'm also considering an S7420, but I'm unsure of the scale length on them, since they are only 22 frets. Some of the Ibanez Prestiges are absolutely gorgeous, but seem rare as hell to find, plus I'm not sure if I'm sold on a 7 yet, so I wouldn't want to drop a lot of cash on one initially. Ibanez definitely looks to be the way to go though. Any suggestions or recommendations?

UV7BK. They're generally around 600-700$, and you can usually re-sale them for that much if you dont like it.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

A used 7620 is thard to beat but I prefer the 1527 I like the neck better the pickups are not as hot as the ones in the 7620 (I kid of like the 1527 pups....) you can get a new 1527 for around 480$ ...you can prolly find a really nice used 7620 for a bit less tho allmost all of the used 7620's I have come across have a ton of dings and dents on em...Stay away from the 7420 the trems on them blow Donkey

Well, since I foolishly did all this stuff in another thread a while ago, I thought I'd post some pics here for fun.
