Don't you use a string mute on your 11 string? If not, how on earth do you stop everything from ringing out? In the pictures I've seen of most extended range bassists they use hairties around the nut to stop open strings from ringing out...
The Adler 11 and 12-strings don't really have that kind of problem. A number of the strings on the basses are custom made with the correct tension and tensile strength and don't really sound unless played. I have a muting system for playing touch style with two hands ,say above the 12th fret,but the"hair tie" stuff is beyond me (?)
