Hey guys,

The names Michael, Mick for short. May as well give a decent introduction.

Been playing almost 6 years now. Into various types of music, mostly Doom Metal, and Blues. Big into bands such as Katatonia, Paradise Lost, and quite a lot of Underground Irish metal bands (Ones you guys probably would'nt have heard of...)
I Bought my first guitar about 7 years ago, but an unfortunate accident rendered it unusable. A year later, I bought a 6-string electric, curiously inspired by Nirvana. Since then, my musical tastes have differed quite a lot, but fortunatly, they have never become to the point where I am snobby about it. No matter what genre of music it is, be it Emo, Punk, Metal, Thrash....as long as its good, it dosnt matter whether its not your "Stereotype"

I may have blabbered some. Sorry.

I've played in numerous bands, such as Diffusion, Whats Next, Why You Lie, Doves Of Fire, and more recently, the Robben Falvey Group, and my favorite (current), Shadowfax.

I have been playing with Shadowfax for almost three years now, done countless live shows with them, and it completes me. Heres a pic of me playing with Shadowfax. Thats me on the left. Unfortunatly, I dont have my full rig up in that pic. Might put up a Video too, soon.



Anywho, as you can see, I use Hughes & Kettner Amps. Nothing less. I've had nothing but great pleasure from them! Heres a picture of my stage rig.



Other than all that...I dont really think I have anything much more to say...

I live with my Girlfriend, Naomi, and my dog, Bruce (Who bloody loves hearing my music..) and I am a Student in Limerick I.T. Other than Music, I enjoy modifying and building Guitars. I have built a few guitars, as well as a few effects pedals. Heres a picture of a Maple strat I built a few years back..



I'm also a regular of many Guitar and Music forums, and I Co-Administrate a British guitar forum, and I am also the founder and Administrator of a popular underground Irish Metal website. (Might post links, if I find out if its not against the rules from the Admins on this board)


So, I hear you ask....
Why the hell am I on a Seven String Forum when all I have are 6-strings?
Well, I am currently trying to decide what 7 string to get, and although I dont have one, I bloody love the things!

Thanks D-EJ915. I dont have a review written of the Warp X as of yet, but I can certainly provide a review of the Solidstate version, the Warp X, which I already have written up.

Demeyes, how are ya doin? Good to see some Irish heads on here. Doing Video + Sound tech. Exams startin in a half hour....I should really get the hell off the computer! I know a couple of people in galway meself, where and what are you doing up there?
