There's also a lot of hilarious nonsense here...

So, what's your favorite H&K I've never played one, but I'm interested in the Switchblade for it's features, it's something that I wish Mesa would do.
So I've noticed! People who ACTUALLY know what they're talking about.

Hilarious nonsense suits me!

My favorite H&K would probably be the Warp X tube head. Just because it does exactly what I want it to do. I needed an amp that would give me brutally bassy distortion, with creamy, lush lead, and ridiculously sparkly clean tones, which was what I required for a particular band I play in. Not only did the Warp X suit that, but more recently I'm working a little more as a session musician, as well as backup guitarist for the Robben Falvey group (mostly Blues and Jazz) and the Warp, surprisingly, suited for those too, despite being designed for something completely different.

Having said that, the Switchblade would be my second favorite. I just wish I had held onto it a little longer to try it out a little more. It was'nt exactly what I wanted as regards the Warp X, but it did absolutly everything else I wanted it to do! I could get ANY sound out of it. Possibly the most versatile amp I played.
A lot of people talk about the Switchblade badly. I guarantee you 9 times out of 10, they never even played one (at least, the kids on the 'Net). They are AMAZING amps.

I want mine again! Or possibly the Version 2!

-Mick.
