My name is Travis. I am a 22 year old white kid living in the southern suburbs of Atlanta. Peachtree City to be exact. You'd know if you have been here before, I promise. The city is over-run by golf-carts.
I am a bit upset with myself about this forum. I am your regular Internet-Junky, but I cannot figure out why it took me so long to find this forum. I am a cursed guitarist. I am a left-handed player. I've been playing since I was 7 years old. I originally began by learning early 90's grunge licks on a Lotus Acoustic (strung upside down) that my dad gave to me once he saw I really was serious about learning. However, the SINGLE MOST INSPIRATIONAL CD OF MY GUITAR PLAYING HISTORY came out a few years later. "Images & Words" by Dream Theater, After first hearing that CD, I've since been obsessed with everything Petrucci has ever done. I later got a 6-string Washburn electric that was pretty cheasy, but my selection is limited being a lefty. Later I got my first 7-string. It was the FIRST left-handed 7-string that I know of. Prior to this, as far as I know, there were none on the market. It was an ESP M-207 (LTD). I pre-ordered it as soon as the announcement was made at NAMM. It took almost 4 months after production "began" before I finally had it. As far as I know, I owned the very first one in Georgia, and possibly in the US. Sadly, this model has since been discontinued, and I have yet find another lefty 7 that holds up to my standards. I'm hoping for a possibility of an ESP Deluxe MH-1000 lefty (If I pray, maybe even a low-B string added). Hi to everyone. Sorry for the long post. It's getting late, and I'm delirious.

Check gallery. It's a poor pic, but it's all I have now.
Oh yeah! Almost forgot. You can hear a few riff idea/audio clips @ my Myspace page. Edit - I can't post a direct link to mypage, but just put the regular Myspace URL (.com) followed by /7stringninja! Comments welcome on clips. |

Hey man, welcome. Images and Words was the cd that changed my life forever too. Before that I was never all that serious about really playing, now I have a couple of pics of JP above my guitar/amp/recording setup in my room and my bands rehearsal studio, sort of an alter to the God of shred
