Rookie of the year

First of all this is my baby.. " I write the songs that make the whole world suck "

Hey people,

Wow, when I found this site I was like " wish I knew about this earlier". Its great to have a forum for the elite of the guitar world to post ideas and get togethor to discuss their experiences of being in this particular niche. Ive been playing bass(4 string fender music master 78) since '98. In 2001 I bought my first guitar which was a jay turser 7-string for 170 bucks. I always wanted a seven string because Dino of Fear Factory played one and Trey of M.A. Korn also had a small influence and I still think their first album is classic and im sorry it has to be popped in the nu-metal genre. I just purchased my 2nd 7 string which is the Ibanez Prestige RG1257 with floyd rose tremlo ( what a B*$# tuning it ). I love it like a son and it made a 3 year relationship so easy to get over, ( heh he ) only prob is i cant tune to my standard which is F / A# / F / A# / D# /G# / C# and the last C sharp i usually tune to the third fret of the 5th string ( 2nd highest note ). I will get some more springs however and get that done myself as well as swtich to something thicker than 9's in term of gauge. Im in kuwait right now from NY so i am one of probably 4 7 stringers around so im like "woah". I also have a band that i do myself called Ryou4Eighty6. There's usually two seven strings on it and i use alot of experimental tuning. My influences would be GODLFESH ( the reason why i started music seriously ), Deftones, Doors and Zep, Carcass. If you check out my site, my main song is " Better off dead" and my next would be a partial interpolatin of DepecheModes best friend song .
And thats the world as I know in a nutshell, summarised and sacchrine-y sweet

Welcome. I think you mean RG1527, though, since there is no such thing as an RG1257.

Your voice on the songs kinda reminds me of the singer from The Icarus Line (especially in Never Let Me Down). I thought the best song period was "The Eavesdropper." That song, I thought, was the most original and sounded pretty awesome.

howdy!

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

True, True..1527, and man isnt it a lovely guitar, i see its your main one too, was it your first guitar or did you have a 6 string before it? yesterday when i was trying to tune her it was hell to figure out cause i tune so low and its a floating bridge, but with a little help for the treml-no site guy from jemfest it was a piece of cake. Thanks for the listen, those songs are kinda old, Im working on my next album which will be done on computer. iIdid what you heard on a four track so i was limited, very limited. The theme to this album is gonna be circle7 which is a portion of hell reserved for a certain caliber of sinners; The violent against neighbors, against god, and against nature and art, so i will try to have a more intelligent and coherent theme in comparrison to Prime8 which was a "whatever i felt like and mix it in 5 minutes album". The age of the tape driven four track is over. I will also use the RG1527 on this album as opposed to the Jay Turser 7-string, which cant even really keep in f***ing tune!!!! Anyway, I appreciate you guys taking the time out to check out my shit and critique me on it, thank you also for the warm and friendly welcome to the 7 stringers heaven online...amen.
