![]() | Hello from TheGrooveking Being new here I figured I would write a "Hello" to everyone. As some of you may know I found this forum through Regor who like I are a regular at the HugeRacksInc forum. I have a Ibanez RG7421 7 string that I play often. Most of my time is taken up by my job, which has me traveling all over the globe. I typically spend four days a week traveling, so I am usually flying with a guitar in a gigbag along with my laptop. So that way I can at least keep my chops up by practicing at night in the hotel rooms. I started playing in 1976 and my first reason for playing was after hearing a TV add for a K-TEL record and one of the tunes on it was Jimi Hendrix "All Along The Watchtower". Shortly after hearing that I wanted to play, my brother bought me The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland album and I was hooked. I can still remember a few months later when a friend of mine turned my onto the Are You Experienced album. I think I played the grooves off of those albums on my mother's Zenith console! LOL!!! My first guitar was a 69' Fender Mustang in Competition Yellow with the Orange racing stripe that my mother bought for me for $139 from Perry's Music. Since that time I have spent many thousands on gear and seem to be always adding to my collection of tone hardware. The thing I love about forums is the exchange of information, so even though I only have photos of about 40% of my gear posted there is more. So I recommend you check out the pics and if you have any questions I can answer I would be glad to help. I've compared a lot of gear in my 31 + years of playing and have worked on a lot of gear, so if I can help others from following some of the bad choices I have made, then it's all worth it. One of my favorite things in life is learning, that's why I am here. Peace, TheGrooveking Some of my gear:http://community.webshots.com/user/thegrooveking |
