hey all! how's it going?? i've lurked this forum long enough so i decided it's time to start posting and meeting some fellow 7-stringers!

My name is George, i live in Philadelphia and i'm an electrical engineering major at Temple University. I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years now but i've been playing music my whole life through various other instruments i.e. bass, trumpet, piano, drums, and so on. My main interest is metal and all of it's glorious forms. I love all kinds of music though, especially classical. I play in one band at the moment called Dim the Lights - MySpace.com - Dim the Lights (new tour pictures!) - Lebanon, US - Death Metal / Metal / Experimental - www.myspace.com/dimthelights - and i just so happened to get lucky enough to get endorsed by my favorite amps, Engl.

Guitar is my hugest obsession and i spend all my time/hard earned dollars on it but it couldn't be happier! I purchased my first and only 7 string from a friend for $40. It's a Squier Stagemaster-7 (pics to come!) and although you'll probably think it's a cheap-o guitar, it actually plays insanely well...that is once i put A LOT of tlc into it. I've got a bunch of other gear/main guitars that you can see on my picture below..and one of me just for fun.

So, that's my story in a nut shell. I love to write music, lessons and all kinds of tech stuff so i'm definitely going to be posting some lessons and what have you soon. oh, and other than guitar i love computer games.

A couple of facts :

- That rig owns.
- Very nice guetarz (especially the LP)
- I own a Squier Stagemaster-7 too, and true, they're not total pieces of crap. Nice introduction to playing 7-strings guitars (just change the pickups).
- You need to post pics of it on this forum. Otherwise, everyone is going to bug you.

oh, i'll take pictures for sure but it's not quite done yet. i'm just waiting for some minor hardware to come in and then i'll get it going

I used to own a Stagemaster 7 too. Paid £100 for it and surprised everyone that played it. No one could believe it was a Squire.

First off, I just gotta say: Nice rig.

As to the Squier... TDW's Squier sounds pretty awesome with the pickup swap and other stuff he did to it. It looks kinda nasty, though, but who cares?
