![]() | Hello everybody! I have been lurking in this forum for quite some time but as my first seven arrived yesterday, I figured it was high time I started participating in this awesome community here. Most of the people here seem very nice and supportive, which is certainly not the case everywhere. My English might be screwed up at times since I am German - so please don't mind. I have a Canadian girlfriend though and she keeps correcting me all the time. I promise to do my best not to confuse the native speakers here. Cheers! Playing: sixes (18 years), sevens (two days), a little keyboards as well Location: Marburg, Germany Band: Vacant Planet, Progressive Metal, one CD (2004), currently working on the new album. |

I bet the 7 sounds good through that Marshall rack! ![]() | You know what man, I did not have a chance to play the guitar through my rig yet. Our rehearsal place is like a hundred miles away from where I live, so I will have to wait for the weekend. So far, I've played it through a J-Station that's hooked up to my computer. Unfortunately, I do not have very sophisticated speakers there. But I sounded quite good so far. Can't wait to "rip 'n tear" on Saturday!! ![]() |

![]() | It's an S7320. I have always wanted to put my hands on a Saber 7 but I just couldn't find one, neither new or used. So when Ibz announced to bring back the S as a 7 I knew right away I'd get me one. As I said, I've had it for two days and it handles nicely, although I soon realized that it's not like "uh, it's just like a six with an additional string, so the neck is a little wider. No biggie!" Yes, biggie; the feel is totally different and yesterday night I felt like I couldn't play jack sh.. anymore. I'll have to work hard on getting my chops to the 7. But I guess there are worse things in life! I might have at least the bridge PU replaced, maybe by a X2N7. I have one in one of my sixes (actually also an Ibz, a turquoise S1540) and it lets pretty damn lose. Any suggestions on getting familiarized with a Seven in the first place? |
