the muddiness is probably from the stock pickups and amp. once you've got finances enough for new pickups and a quality amp, you'll be in sonic bliss.

well, i think it was more the amp i was using at my friends' place. it sounds nice on my amp. and no, i haven't oiled it. when it comes to maintenance, i take my time on it.

hmm, well this thread is supposed to be an introduction so here we go: i'm 20 year old guitarist, and i've only been playing for a little over 2 years. i've been listening to alot of music with guitarists using 7-strings which is why i've taken interest. bands like Nevermore, Jag Panzer, and Dream Theater are my top favorites for music with some 7-string involvement. i'm a huge fan of Jeff Loomis.
