New to the forum

Hello everyone! I just discovered this site the other day while reading up on 7 string guitars. I went to Music Tech in the early 90's (which has since become the fully accredited McNally-Smith School of Music). After spending a few years in Minneapolis trying to get a band together, and never succeeding, I decided to go back to school and get a "real job". I just got back into playing about a year ago after having set my musical inclinations aside for about 10 years. I have a Carvin DC135 that is my pride and joy. I mostly play for myself these days, recording stuff in GarageBand in my living room. I just started looking at 7 strings, and will probably end up buying one of the cheap Wahsburns off eBay just to see if I can play one and like it. Although this is my first post here, I want to thank you all...I've learned a lot already just from reading old threads!

BTW, the people on this forum might appreciate this...I just won a bid on a 6 string electric violin! However, it's been about 15 years since I touched a violin...we'll see what happend when I get it. ;-)
