Howdy from Arizona

1st post! Lurked a little bit, but haven't posted until now as I did not own a 7 until now.

I ordered a dirt-cheap Washburn WG587 on closeout from Music123 yesterday, my metallic red example should be here by midweek. It's not the 7 I truly want (that would be a gloss natural ESP LTD SC607-B), but for $100.99 shipped? I couldn't pass it up.

I can't wait to get this thing & start grinding out the riffs! I'm a home recoding junkie, you can hear what I have going on in my MySpace or Soundclick links.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to posting much more here now!

Curt

Thanks for the welcome!

D-E, lol! I played a C-7 Hellraiser a few weeks ago, a GC opened near my home & they had one out with the Crate (ugh) amps. I grabbed it, plugged it in to this tiny little amp, dropped the B down to A & riffed out for about a half hour.

I read the Air Norton is the passive pickup for sevens, is this correct? I expect I'll be wanting to upgrade the bridge pup pretty quickly.

The 587 went down in price again? That's half the price I saw it for last time I was looking at it. Damn, for $100 I kind of want to get one, even though I really don't need another 7 right now.

You'll like it here. I'm fairly new, too, but I've pretty much made a complete transition to here from the other forum I used to frequent.
