Guitarist4JC is on a distinguished road
Newbie here

I've new to this site, and new to 7 string playing too. I recently just got my new Carvin 727 that I ordered back in April. I wish I would of bought a 7 string years ago.... I've been playing guitar since '82 after hearing Randy on Diary of a Madman. He was huge influence on my playing in the early years. I discovered Dime a few years later around '87-'88 Projects in the Jungle. My early influences were Rhodes, Dime, Vinnie Moore, Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine, Crimson Glory, Fates Warning. About six months ago I came across Crimney with Derek Taylor and Scott Stine on bass. I found a Stine CD where he played 7 string like my early influences. I guess when I stumbled across Rusty Cooley that was enough for me to say its time to try one of those 7 strings. After playing on mine for the past couple of days I wish I would of started years earlier, now I would like to check out an 8 string with the high A. I'm sure there out there somewhere. Great site glad I found it. It has been very helpful for a newbie like me to make the transition more smoothly. Thanks!!!
