New Guy from Philly area...

Hey all,

Newbie from the Philly area here. I've played 7 strings on and off for a couple years. Currently without one, but I'm looking to buy either a John Petrucci JP-7 or a Stephen Carpenter 607-B Baritone 7 when I have enough money laying around! I'm friends with one of the other guys on here under Jerich (Hey Billy, finally joined up! ) and as I'm sure he would tell you I'm a gear whore/buyer/seller so my guitars and amps are constantly rotating!

I have had a tendency lately to buy lower-end guitars and mod them to nicer hardware as I've found some that play nicely just don't sound quite right with the stock hardware! Right now I have a PRS Singlecut SE (Sperzels, PRS wraparound bridge w/ adjustable saddles, RS Hovland cap and WCR Darkbursts) set up for drop Db tuning, a Tremonti SE (right now it has dual Tone Zones from the previous owner, but I'll be putting in an Air Norton in the neck and D-Sonic in the bridge, full RS high gain LP electronics kit, PRS Locking tuners, and a PRS wraparound bridge with adjustable saddles) which will be set up for drop C tuning. I also have an Ibanez RGA121 Prestige with a Hovland capacitor, locking sperzels and Bare Knuckle Miracle Man pickups in it that I'm getting ready to sell. I have one high-end guitar in the works (made by Ron Thorn, Thorn #153) that should be finished up in the next couple months!!!

I'm running all my guitars through my Egnater MOD50 head (Twin and E'Rect modules right now, sold most of my other ones to buy the new head) and a custom-shop EarCandy BuzzBomb 2x12 with a couple pedals in front of the head such as the Lovepedal Eternity and an MI Audio Tube Zone.

Anywho, just wanted to drop in and say hello! I'm going to pick up a 7 string Petrucci most likely, so if anyone has one that they're going to sell in a couple months (with Piezo though!) feel free to shoot me a PM! Thanks guys!
