Hey, the names Nic and I hail from Minneapolis. My rig is a Schecter A7 through a Peavey Transtube 1/2 stack. The amp may cheap, but the clean tone is amazing from that thing. The dist. sucks so I use a Digitech DF7 Distortion factory. I've been playing guitar since I was 14 and playing a 7-string since I was 16.
I'm in a few bands around the Minneapolis area. My main band is MSRP check out http://www.myspace.com/msrp to hear some of our stuff. The other is Thosquanta http://www.thosquanta.com - way less heavy but still fun to play in. Honest criticisim of either band appreciated.
I've been looking into getting a new 7-string, but I can only seem to find cheap ones or Ibanez's (which I really don't like). Any suggestions? I am thinking of getting a custom Carvin. Has anyone on here had any experience with those?
