 | Metal meets Machines Hi everyone. My name is Steve and I'm a former lurker at extendedrangeguitar.com. I've been playing guitar for 12 years, and playing a 7-string for about 8 months. I mostly use an Ibanez RG7621 with an EMG 707 in the neck and an EMG 81-7 in the bridge, and I run into a POD XT Live and a Crate BV-120 half stack. After years of playing mostly metal, I accidently stumbled into an electronic music project called Unavox that was looking to do something more than just dance music. They had been searching for a guitar player to add something heavier to their sound; I auditioned and got the job. Needless to say, it's been an interesting transition for everyone involved. Basically, if you'd like to hear what happens when you mix 7-string metal, vocals, keyboards, beats, and a classically trained singer/keyboard player/bassist (who plays a 5-string and is pretty to boot), check us out.
