![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The first rule of guitar club is 'You don't talk about Guitar club' The second rule of guitar club is 'You don't talk about guit.......hold on, it's No Smoking, actually' I think it was your S7420 that he was telling me about when I was waiting for mine to get through customs. I did some work on it this weekend and I'm really starting to get on with it. Quote:

He spent a lot of time playing it when I took it to his. I don't know if he's changed his mind yet, but last time I spoke to him about it he fancied a reverse headstocked S7 if he ever got the chance of ordering another LACS. Actually, I wouldn't mind one myself! He said yours is a bit battered and you were thinking of stripping it down? | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's a tiny bit battered, but nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be actually. There's only one chip that has gone to wood, which I've covered, a few little dents in the paintwork here and there, but again nothing that's really noticeable without studying it up close. It's got a slightly bent machine head but it works fine so I'm not too fussed, managed to pick up some locking nuts for it off here as well. But for £220 including import tax, I've got no complaints at all. Right now, my only things that I really need to do is change the pick-ups as they are still stock and find a trem arm for it. I've done a half decent job of setting it up, but I'll probably get it over to Doug to do the pick-ups and give it a proper set-up at the same time. Could do it myself, but why struggle when you can give it to the master? ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | £220 all in? Fucking hell, I was hit for £145 on import duties alone, but then it was insured for up to $1000. I paid $600 for mine, which worked out to about £400. It's got 2 small chips, neither of which are through the paint. I need to get a trem arm, refloat the trem (I had it blocked for my last band) and get another pickup. I've put a PAF7 in the bridge which sounds really good, but I'm thinking of moving it to the neck and putting a Drop Sonic7 in the bridge. I've got a green Evo 7 and Blaze Custom I'm looking to sell to fund that if you know anyone who wants them. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, tell me about it. The guy seemed to want to give it away for some reason, I paid £60 import as I only insured up to the price that I'd actually paid for the thing, so that if I did get broken then I'd break even and not lose anything. I'm still thinking about pick-ups at the mo, might give you a shout if I make any decisions |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would've preferred not to over insure mine, but with USPS the insurance only comes in $500 bands. Next time I think I'll risk $100 and save on the import duty though. |
