Er... Hello!

Hey there haha
My name is bri, I've been playing a 6 for about 2-3 years now, not as long as alot of you people here haha but that's ok i guess. I just got my 7 (schecter omen 7) last week, and francly I must say i'm completely lost haha I just don't know where to begin! Help??

Welcome, and congrats on your new 7 string!

Don't worry, I think a lot of us were a little lost for the first weeks or so... Just experiment and have fun.

Hello there! Well....the top 6 strings are tuned just like a regular 6-string guitar (Low to high: E A D G B E). To keep things feeling somewhat normal feeling, tune your 7th string to B. This will be a fourth lower than your Low E string.

Just experiment with the instrument. Since you weren't very specific on WHAT you needed help with, I say just have fun with it! You will find your way. I've had a few friends who tried a 7 and felt lost also. A few went back to a 6 for while, but eventually, they ALWAYS come back to the 7-string. That says a lot right there.
