 | Can chickens play guitar? Here's a quickie question for all you techy axemen out there, what the hell is chicken picking? I read it in total guitar magazine recently; Synyster Gates, John 5 and Dave Mustaine all said they struggled with it, so it must be a pro technique, but that's as much as I can guess?! Chickin Pickin'-- WTF?  |

| Its the same as hybrid picking, basically using the pick and fingers on the right hand to pick at the same time  |

| Heres an example of how it can be used in a more metally, rocky kinda way. Make sure you watch it all for the fast awsome bits. The thing is he uses it so subtely and seemlessly, you don't even need it for what he's playing but the difference is in the tone and phrasing. He's so fucking smooooth. |

| I always thought chicken picking was hybrid picking where you pull the string away from the guitar so it rebounds against the fretboard, while you play staccato with your left hand.  |
