Gotten back into the habit of learning songs...

I sort of noticed the other day that I'm running out of things to play when I pick up my guitar and just end up noodling for ages, so I've started getting back into the habit of learning songs regularly.

This week I've learned the whole songs of "Fire In The Sky" and "Rosewell 47" by Hypocrisy. Both awesome 7-string songs in B-standard and aren't hard at all, which makes them even more fun to jam along to. Next I plan on relearning "Kingdom For A Heart" by Sonata Arctica and some Pantera songs. Still deciding which Pantera songs to learn.

I've also noticed that my motivaton to pick up the guitar each day has increased a lot since I've started learning songs again. Before I would go days at a time without playing because I just wasn't in the mood. Now I find myself in the mood everyday.

Anyway, what are you guys learning atm? Anyone else find learning songs increases your motivation to play?

RIP MIKE

I'm still slogging away at learning all of Emperors Prometheus, it's really distracting me from writing material for my band
