I like the raised text on the ultex jazz III picks, ever since I started using them I haven't had that problem. I've also gotten fairly good at spinning them around quickly when I'm playing if I'm using something else.

They are THE BEST I have found. We call them cat tongues for the way they feel.

Is the tip knocking it out of your hand by catching in the strings, or is it more a cramping/angle problem?
I'd say its more the former problem, the tip seems to "wander off" and disappear. I'll be playing along and notice that the pick's retreated out of sight and has turned itself around so the side is now facing the direction of the strings, and I'm playing with my fingernail. The cramping comes from I guess gripping it too hard to keep it from moving around.

neoclassical is a jewel in the rough
+1 for the grip tape and finding out what could be causing the problem from your right hand technique. Also the Cool picks have grip tape on them already and the material they are made out of is very nice. They make a few different kinda of non slip picks. I like the Juratec Jazz.

Hey! Lets go pry that gun from Charlton Heston's dead hands. It'll be like taking candy from a baby now!
