yeah it's the string skips that are fucking me up. Other than that it's fairly straight forward. And no, i'm not looking forward to the solo, that's gonna take me a week or two alone

Thing is im just not a sweeper, it's not in me, legato and speed picking are my thing, i've been playing nearly 10 years and i still choke on sweeps, and Michael Romeo fucking LOVES to sweep goddamit!

I learnt to play the riff in the intro years ago, pretty fun to play. I didn't learn anymore of the song, since I couldn't play much more of it back then. I still remember a bit of the main riff though.

I tried the tapping section a while back, actually the easiest part of the song IMO, the riffs are much harder.

(Ignore what it says about a sweep tap, it was early in the morning)

I would agree, but it was really hard for me to learn to do cleanly (which is relative since I'm never a squeaky clean player). Once I was used to it, it was the easiest part of the solo.
