Dave Weiner "Riff of the Week"

Hey Guys. In case you didn't see it on Jemsite, I just wanted to post a link to Dave Weiner's "Riff of the Week" section of his website:

He updates it once a week on Wednesdays. There are some great riffs in there written specifically for the 7-string.

For those of you who don't know, Dave is one of the guitarists in Steve Vai's band, and a great instrumentalist in his own right (I strongly recommend his album, "Shove the Sun Aside").

Yeah, I've been checkin' that out too. I just acquired a CD package personally from him on his site. STSA is a damn good CD. I like how he approaches the 7-string. He's alot like how I look at the 7-string. Im a sucker for melodies and harmonies and riffs that have a groove to them and so much into the shredding fast and faster style of writing. That's why I can relate to DW's music alot.

I also got Dave's cd recently. Hell, I must have listened to it about 8 times the day I got it! Best album I've heard in a while, along with JP's Suspended Animation. Dave seems to be a down-to-Earth kind of guy, and is admirable in that he keeps in touch with his fans via his section of the Jemsite forum.
