You work with film ?
And I completely disagree with you
For me music is emotions and sometime "normal" scales, chords and timbre can't express the feelings I have inside, that's when you need somebody to smash a chair on a piano, sample it, split it to 14 channels and add distortion on half of them. Thats much more closer to my emotions then a e-minor chord

That and he claims he's the "ani-Yngwie". When I read about him years ago, it always sounded like he was implying he was some amazing player because he played in harmony, rather than melody.

Found a fun little clip of a pianist preparing and performing a bit of John Cage's Sonatas & Interludes for prepared piano.

I've read that John Cage invented prepared piano when he had a gig as the pianist/composer for a modern dance school. He had been writing a lot of percussion music and wanted a way to get the sound of a percussion ensemble but was unable to hire additional musicians or obtain instruments other than the school piano. So he started sticking stuff in the strings.

I really like the creative textures here and the very clever use of partial string capos. He's definitely exploring some interesting areas & combinations of playing techniques.

[nitpick]Technically I think most "prepared guitarists" wouldn't classify this as prepared guitar because, although he's got extra things on his fretboard, he's only using them as capos to fret notes, but not to change the tone color or timbre of the strings.[/nitpick]

That wasn't a synth line, but just some sound effects applied to his pickup output.
