I love using 5ths + 9ths. Just has such a smooth sound for switching between high and low, as he shows.

One thing I've been doing is altering the basic power chord to give a different sound by throwing in and extra 5th. It can be a bit of a stretch at the first few frets but quite easy in the middle of the neck.

I fret it using my 1st, 2nd and pinky fingers.

Thanks! ------------------- Current Axe: Epiphone Beast,custom pickups (Unknown brand), a coil tap, and a killswitch soon to be installed (Asshole at the shop charged me $100 for a bunch of work I didn't need really). Current 7: Ibanez RGX that's in bad shape right now (no strings, broken killswitch, neck needs work). Current Acoustic: Fender Stratacoustic (I love that guitar)
