Some good "shred" riffs that arn't insanely fast

Try some Dream Theater songs like Erotomania. Fast riffs, fast solos, string skipping, no sweeping tho. For sweeping stuff, try Glass prison.

Racer X comes to mind too, technical difficulties and scarified.

Satriani's "Always with Me..." is pretty manageable for Satch - I mean, I can play it, kind of...
