 | Props to Marc(fatherbrennan) Well some of you may know that when it comes to music theory, I knew squat...I didn't know any scales and the fretboard was a blank slate...but then Marc offered to help me along, and although I have been seriously thinking about learning guitar properly, I was just being intimidated all this time...so along comes Marc with his no-nonsense approach and I have learned so much that I am in LOVE with theory...now I know it's all small time at this point but now I know where to go while playing, and it all makes sense. To most of you this may seem like shit, but if I can reach one other person, who thinks that theory isn't required then I would be thoroughly satisfied...thanks Marc(fatherbrennan)  I realize that many of you posted helpful lessons, but like I said, I was intimidated...now I'm starting to understand things, apply them and most of all enjoy... | haha cool man Im glad it helped. I just remember a few years ago when I didnt know theory I was so intimidated by it and everywhere on the net that had lessons made it confusing as hell. When I finally understood it, the lessons I read made sense in hindsight but seemed overly complicated in how they described it. Its really not all that hard if you give it patience and dedicate some time to practice and memorize it all. Anway WayneCustom7 sounds like youre really benefiting from that knowledge so it was well worth the time. Congrats on having a new direction on guitar! www.fatherbrennan.com |
