I was checking out Ron's site because of Shannon's thread on his new band's CD.

Hey, this guy is good! He's like Marty Friedman going extreme. Great melodic control!

It's a cool idea to come up with many musical ideas based on circular note diagrams, like the popular circle of fifths. But he expanded the idea and got to come up with surprisingly cool uncommon progressions:

I'm posting one the diagrams just to give you a bare idea on it:

Have your fun with it! It can give you hours of cool studying on writing and music overall...

Ron Jarzombek is INSANE. You should listen to Spastic Ink & Watchtower's Control & Resistance to get an idea about just how good.

Totally different style musically, but Pat Martino has a lot of similar (albeit more esoteric) concepts that are worth a look

Neat. Looks like a re-discovery of the ideas behind the 12-tone serial stuff that Stravinsky did.

@MetalKen: I'm really impressed with Ron, I didn't know anything about him(except for name and some link with Marty Friedman). For me I just found a guitar player that blows my mind by overloading it with tons of AAA musical ideas.

@DDDorian:You read Pat's books too?

I liked Pat Martino's Creative Power(both volumes) a lot. But I liked Ron's page on his Circle better because it's free and more interactive with media resources. And above all I simply got

in view of Ron's apparent huge simplicity in talking very straightly about some his writing technique.
Creative Force is like nitroed-fuel for the musician anyway.

And Carrion, I know what you mean dude, that's a musical idea avalanche for me too.
