![]() ![]() | I had an epiphany. I came to the great realization tonight that I play about 10x better standing up than sitting. I play with the middle of my guitar about waist level and I really play a lot, a lot better. I have better economy of wrist motion, better picking and I relax my arm better. When I play sitting down, I tend to tense up and use my arm to pick. I have no clue why, but I just realized how much better I play standing up tonight. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I read an interview with Munkey from Korn about ten or twelve years ago that said the same thing. To me, playing rhythms are alot easier standing up. Leads are about the same to me. |

There are a few very specific things that I actually play better sitting down, but for the most part, standing up makes playing easier for me - for both rhythm and leads. One thing I find more difficult to play standing up is arpeggios with complex fingerings. I can do them standing up, but I find them easier to play sitting down. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i find i can play lead stuff better if i sit down, its weird. but i can rock out quite well standing when doing rhythm stuff. 3 cheers for free gear! "Do you like burned toast with your JAM? cuz we're on FIRE!" ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I suck ass standing up. It totally changes my left hand wrist position. I can't keep my thumb on the back of the neck, which makes just about everything from legato to sweeps to... well like I said, just about everything, harder. ![]() |
