and he did it!

this is the latest Riff Of the Week, and he shows the basics of odd time signatures. i requested it with this and a couple other forums in mind, knowing that there are lots of younglings who want to get into this kind of stuff (me included! :P), and dave weiner is a great teacher, and this episode really helps to understand this stuff!

there you go people... it´s all so much easier when it´s illustrated

I already knew the theory behind this stuff but not really how to make music using it for some reason. This helped a lot.
I've written a song in 9/8 before but it wasn't intentional, I had a riff in my head and when I played it along with a drummer we worked out that it just happened to be in 9/8.
