I already do a series of stretches I picked up from a brief period of studying aikido, which cut my warm-up time in half when I discovered them, but I had never thought of handstands, although the idea makes sense...I'll give it a go tonight and post back.

UPDATE...

Wierd...tried some of the stuff you suggested, and it really helped get my hands going.

First time I've done a push-up in almost five years!

Hehe - spoken like a true yoga-dude

Although I do a few pushups each morning, it never occurred to me to try finger-tip pushups.

Ok - I tried the fingertip thing this morning and, call me a wimp, but I was reluctant to put my full weight on my fingertips. Santiago do you know any way to work up to this gradually?

Well I would try Doing the push ups verticalagainst a wall first to build up finger strength.

Also Isometrics help. Research Qi Gong (chi Kung) and also HARD QI GONG (SHAOLIN PHYSICAL TRAINING)

I have a little upper-body isometrics routine I do each morning, but I'm sure those Qi Gong styles you mentioned would have much more depth.

also pick up a nei gong book by Mantak Chia "Iron Shirt"

talk about "Bone Breathing" to make any part of the body strong.

Yes infact .....

I will once time is available...new album....new baby....projects on the back burner ("NAGA" w/derek roddy, Solo album, The absence's new album, Aghora Tour, Cynic Reunion Tour, producing 2 more bands right now). My plate is full.... but I have thought about it. I think maybe by the summer I can start hitting the writing process.

I have done years and years of research on Martial arts , Qi Gong & Yoga alongside with my guitar facination.

So it would be only natural to find the common ground. IT is infact ALL RELATED!
