If you could take a lesson...

...with anyone from this forum, who would it be?

Personally, I can't choose! There are so many players on this board with ridiculous chops as well as people who can clearly explain the ideas behind what they play. At the moment I'm thinking bostjan would be cool to take a lesson or two from as he seems to fuse a lot of non-Western influences into his guitar playing which would be cool to explore, but at the end of the day, it really is a difficult decision.

Are we talking guitar lessons, or lessons in general, like drinking?

Cause if it's drinking, i'd choose Drew.

If it's guitar, probably still Drew. Because we'd be drinking the whole time

POOF!

Ha, I'd take lessons from Noodles since I live near him and because I imagine him being real charismatic.

You've got your head down
You've got your eyes closed
You look so pitiful now

Your body encrusted with ash
Breath heavy with toxins
Hair singed and matted
Clothes frayed and burnt

You are left with nothing

Either Santiago or Garry Goodman. Durero sounds like he'd be interesting to study with as well...

Hey that's a nice compliment DR, thanks.

Actually teaching guitar lessons has been my full-time profession since 1990. I was very lucky to fall into it when my own teacher at the local music store left for a different job and asked me to take over his 45 students for him. I had just turned 20 but I knew that it was exactly what I wanted to do and I haven't looked back since

I think it'd be great fun to sit down with our 7strings and have a good chat/jam with DR, Santiago, Bostjan, Strychnine and so many others on this board.

But the first thing that came to mind when I read the thread title was that I'd love to visit Mike Sherman and have a luthiery lesson with him! I've heard that he knows Ned Steinberger (my personal hero) personally, and I think it'd be an absolute blast to see Mike's shop and watch how he works.

If Aghora ever come to the UK, or I come to Florida (not going to happen on my current budget ) then that would rock! I'll buy you a beer at the same time...

Oh, and a chance to jam with Drew or Your Majesty (on keys or guitar) would be cool as well.

I'd be thrilled to see Aghora play live. Any plans to tour up in the Pacific North West?

Buzz McGrath (user name: chest rockwell). Because I think he's an amazing guitarist that just plays really cool riffs. After I saw the video for "Zombie Autopilot" with that insane solo, I thought, "I'll never be that good." And he seems like a cool guy.
