Which chords are these?

I get dizzy trying to transpose chords onto the 7, and I play these a ton and would love to know if they have an actual name

Code:
E|-----]
B|-----]
G|--0--] G
D|--4--] F#
A|--5--] D
E|--5--] A
B|--3--] D
And the same thing, down a step:

Code:
E|-----]
B|-----]
G|--0--] G
D|--2--] E
A|--3--] C
E|--3--] G
B|--1--] C
I use them predominantly in this progression, though I pick them, not strum them.

Every chord has a name. they might be something absurd (D#Min aug7 b5b9 Add4 Add b11 or something crazy like that ;p ;p)
Anyway, the first chord is a DMaj Add11.

Here, lemme chart out Maj. & Minor Root 7 chords (Lesson coming ;p)

In the Key of D Major, since thats the first chord you posted, and its a chance of pace from doing something in C Maj. Its also in one of our favorite 7 string friendly keys, B Minor. Containing both C# and F# as sharp notes.

Edit: I posted the relation intevallically between all the notes (1,3,5, etc)

-----------------

Code:
E|-----]
B|-----]
G|-----]
D|--4--] F#-3
A|--5--] D- 1
E|--5--] A- 5
B|--3--] D- 1
D Major

E|--0--] E-1
B|--0--] B-5
G|--0--] G-3b
D|--5--] G-3b
A|--7--] E-1
E|--7--] B-5
B|--5--] E-1
E Minor

B|--7--] F#-5
G|--9--] D-1
D|--7--] A-3b

G|--4--] B- 7b
D|--5--] G -5
A|--2--] B- 7b
E|--3--] e- 3b
B|--2--] C#- 1

Alternate open string chords:

E|-----]
B|--3--]D-1
G|--2--] A-3
D|--0--] F#-3

Unless I'm VERY greatly mistaken, that first one's a Dadd4... a D major with an added 4th degree (in this case, G) in addition to the third. (drop that F# by either raising it a half-step or playing the open D, and you'd get a Dsus4, a D with the 3rd degree replaced by a 4th, giving it a tonality that is neither major nor minor (thus "suspended" between harmonies)

Yeah... i was thinking 11th...which i guess is a 4th an octave higher, right? lol

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Yeah.

I suppose from a classical standpoint the 11th is more "correct," as it's an added tone and traditionally one adds chord tones ascending from the next lowest, not between tones already included in the triad- for example, Emadd9 rather than Emadd2, while in the case of suspended chords you replace triad tones with the suspending chord tone- Dsus2 or sus4, not Dsus9 or sus11, as its harmonic function is best described by placing it as close to the chord's third as possible (as it's a substitution, not an addition).

So, sure, let's call it a Dadd11.
