Review My Demo (metal)

Ok so this is my old band's demo, long story short I didn't get along with the vocalist. They've since kicked his ass out, shed the bass player, brought in a new guitarist and all but completely died. The drummer (the other founding member of the group) and I might be starting up again so I'd like to know what people think of these songs as compositional pieces.

They Chain You Up - Metal Band Biography and Metal mp3s/songs, free Metal mp3 downloads

Guitars: Jackson SLSMG w/ EMG 85/81, Fender Jazz Bass.
Amp: Peavey 6505+, no clue what the bassist used.
Recorded at SI Studios in Pa.

Thanks.

Here's my honest review. It sounds like you guys are trying to hard to be metal, it doesn't sound very natural to me. Ide shoot for a diff style if you colab with the drummer again. Not to sound like a dick, but you asked...

No way man, I totally appreciate it. Honestly, I'm not traditionally a "metal" guitarist and your very comment was the topic of many discussions we had before I left the band.
