scared the living shit out of me. i dont like horror movies at all i dont know how i managed to watch this with my friends. the aliens were so erie and the suspence was unbearable. i started to scream at the end when they showed the alien holding the son hostage, but loved the ensuing ass kicking and beat down deliverd to the alien

i like the message "Every thing happens for a reason", becouse i think it does
i am just happy to know that if any scrawny aliens try to come in to my house i will compleatly pwn them with with my 12 guage and my .308 rifle, no scope head shot time FTW!!!

I liked this movie, but that was actually my main complaint, for the same reason I hated the theatrical version of I Am Legend and loved the "alternate" ending. People really need to stop putting Christian/religious messages/endings into science fiction movies. I really don't need another God vs. Aliens movie.

I hated Signs. For many many reasons and many of them listed on that website.

And I also hated the "All things happen for a reason" bullshit. Yeah? What was the reason aliens came to Earth? What was the reason they had the technology to travel thousands of light years through space to Earth and NEVER notice that the planets surface is about 70% water - the common substance that can kill them (stars are mostly made of hydrogen, and oxygen is another very common element in the universe)?

I would say that NOTHING happens for a reason, but that wouldn't be true. Some things do, but most things don't.

i never said that i liked it, my grandfather was a nuclear/astrophysicist and he truely belive that aliens have never visited earth because why spend all that time and energy to travel across the universe to buzz some red necks and analy rape people

The first 80% of the movie was ok. The suspense and all. But the end was disappointing. I when they found out the alien's achilles heel was water.WTF?
It was like War of the Worlds. Great start but weak ending.

Exactly! To be honest, the movie before we saw the alien on the TV report was alright, but from then on was pretty lame. The aliens looked so laughable. But oh well.

I thought 'Signs', like 'The Sixth Sense', was fantastic. Can't say the same about the rest of M. Night's movies, but these two are winners.

I also found it pretty damn scary. Understatement is key, and works so well. Especially in these modern times where we've seen it all in movies.

Fuckin ay man, i really love this film. Yes, you people bring a good point with the water thing, but it's a fucking movie. I nearly slapped my friend once for pointing out some of the impossible things that would never happen in Star Wars. It's Star Wars... so you dont complain when a 3ft high green hairy fuck hobbles along with his walking stick but you can discuss the improbabilities in the physics of the ion engine to great length?
